The 22-acre treasure island resort is private, uninhabited, and about a 45-minute scenic boat ride southeast from the mainland of vavau. this beautiful tropical island is situated right in the heart of the famous south pacific, in vava’u the magnificent island group of the kingdom of tonga. the island has beautiful sandy beaches fringed with swaying palms, pristine clear waters, lush tropical forest, rich bird life, amazing caves, cliffs, and bizarre rocks formed by the tide and surrounded by a large colorful coral garden. during the humpback whale season (july through november), the whales come very close to the island and guests can even swim with them. please note: customers will fly into the main international airport of tonga, nukualofa and will need to book domestic flight connections to vavau. bookings can be made online with chathams pacific www.chathamspacific.com the resort consists of eight comfortable beach fales (bungalows) and a fully licensed restaurant built in the authentic tongan style. there is a three-acre tropical garden on site, which is bordered by a white-sand beach and overlooks the sparkling turquoise lagoon.the accommodation is comfortable and built in the unique thatched and authentic tongan style. the beach is at your doorstep, swimming in pristine clear water only a few steps from your private verandah. the beach fales are suitable for double or twin accommodation and provide absolute privacy.

All rooms have been renovated to be fully self contained and each room has its own kitchenette with fridge, cooking facilities & utensils, so guests can choose to eat in or visit one of the many popular restaurants in vavau. br please note: customers will fly into the main international airport of tonga, nuku’alofa and will need to book domestic flight connections to vava’u. bookings can be made online with chathams pacific www.chathamspacific.com vavau harbourview resort has nine spacious bungalows plus an additional two bedroom unit. two bungalows also have connecting door to allow for additional family unit. all rooms have private facilities, queen size bed, extra bed, sitting area, bathroom with hot shower bath, and private large veranda. rooms are serviced daily. vavau harbourview resort has some of the best gardens in vavau and is situated on the shores of the famous port of refuge harbour in toula only 2 km from neiafu. guests can relax in the large tropical garden with a variety of tropical flowers and trees, large mango trees & coconut palms. it is a short 5 minute taxi ride to neiafu where guests will find the local market, shops & restaurants. swimming is possible only a few steps from the resort and guests have access to the sea with our own jetty, for swimming and boat landing where guests can be collected for whale watching, snorkelling, scuba diving & fishing trips. there is a tennis court for our guests with racquets & balls available. there is an open fale/bbq area in the gardens with harbourviews for the exclusive use of guests. bicycle/scooter hire can be arranged. other activities can be arranged upon request.
